Article 1 - NAME AND REGISTRATION[Up]
The show is entitled LINEAPELLE. It is international and its exhibits are leather, accessories, components,
synthetics and models, goods and services for footwear, leather goods, clothing, furniture and car interiors.
It will be held at Fiere Internazionali di Bologna S.p.A., (hereinafter known as BolognaFiere) on the dates
indicated in the application form from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (last day 4.30 p.m.) and access shall be reserved
only to invited operators provided with an entry card.
Applications presented by the following categories are admitted: producers, agents and representants or
distributors of finished leather, metal accessories, alternative materials, fabrics, components and bottom
stocks, lasts, various accessories, synthetics, models, trade press, other, goods and services. The
Secretariat can admit other products, if included in the reference product categories.
Forms must be duly filled in and signed (also on-line in our web page www.lineapelle-fair.it) and accompanied
by:
» receipt of payment of the deposit and of any admission fees;
» a list of represented companies, if any, and of products to be exhibited;
» a certificate proving chamber of commerce membership or similar documentation, if requested by the
show Secretariat.
Any applications sent without receipt of deposit payment will be null and void.
Article 2 - ADMISSION[Up]
The application form is an irrevocable proposal and involves unconditional acceptance of these general
conditions. The Secretariat shall be absolutely free to decide whether to accept the application. It will indicate
the reasons for not accepting only the applications (received in good time) from the exhibitors
who took part in the last edition of the show. The application form will be sent to those companies which
formally requested it.
If applications have been presented after the terms and value date is beyond application deadline, legal interest
rate shall be applied, or exclusion from the show, and transfer from previously assigned stand areas.
With the exception of extraordinary cases: companies partecipating in similar, alternative or competing
show - directly or through associates - in Italy or abroad, those who do not guarantee quality, research
and new proposal.
Acceptance of the application shall be given in writing, generally indicating the assigned stand. For those
applications received late the Secretariat may communicate acceptance in any form up to the day before
exhibition opening.
The same company cannot be present on different stands in the same production area, nor can it display
articles on its stand not pertaining to the production sector indicated in the application form and not even
products by undeclared companies.
Article 3 - REGISTRATION FEE, DEPOSIT AND FINAL SETTLEMENT FOR
THE MAIN SECTORS[Up]
The registration fee of Euro 1400,00, cost per sqm. of Euro 132,00, Euro 210,00 for each new corner
and the due deposit are indicated in the application form. The value of safety costs, included in the cost
per sqm., is Euro 3,00/sqm.
If the application is not accepted, all money will be refunded, without interest.
Payment of the total due amount must be made when you receive the invoice.
Article 4 - WAIVERS AND BREACHES[Up]
For demonstrable serious reasons the Exhibitor may renounce up to 60 days before, proving their impediment
by documents; as a consequence, the application fee and the advance paid up shall be retained
even if the now vacant stand is reassigned to another company. In all other cases the Exhibitor shall pay
for the full amount, registration fee and compensation for damages.
Any reduction of the exhibiting space will be accepted only up to 60 days before exhibition opening.
After this term the Exhibitor shall have to pay for the whole surface, unless the space he is leaving
empty is allocated to another company.
Those who have not completed the setting up of the stand within the terms established in the Technical
Regulation and in the Exhibitor’s manual, shall be considered in default to all effects, with automatic
cancellation of the contract.
Failure to pay all the sums due in full shall be considered a serious default and shall lead to the cancellation
of the contract by means of a written communication to the Exhibitor.
In all cases of cancellation of the contract, the Exhibitor shall pay the entire amount for participation
and any application fees or other sums due, as well as reimbursement of any damages.
The application will be rejected in case the Exhibitor had any debts or cases with Lineapelle and/or related
companies.
Article 5 - ASSIGNMENT OF STANDS[Up]
The Secretariat shall assign the stands at their discretion and it shall also consider the terms of application,
membership of one of the recognized associations, seniority as participants in the show, fairness and
loyalty, of proven respect of opening-closing time of the exhibition.
The Secretariat reserves the right to transfer or reduce any stand area previously allocated to an Exhibitor
or to transfer it to another exhibition hall/area and the Exhibitor has no right to any claims or refunds. In the
event of any such transfer or reduction of assigned stand areas, the Secretariat shall inform the Exhibitor
formally at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the show.
Any indications or special requests made by the Exhibitor shall not be binding for the Secretariat, nor can
they be considered as conditions or limits on the applicant’s subscription.
The Secretariat reserves the right to assign stand areas that are not shown on the general layout. Total or
partial transfer of the assigned area to third parties shall not be permitted even if made free of charge. In
the event of any transgression, the Secretariat will be legally permitted to expel any product brought
in/exhibited and the cost shall be charged to the original assignee of the stand area. Stand holders have
the duty to indicate their company name outside the stand.
Article 6 - PARTICIPATION FEE[Up]
The fee includes the use of a display area signs indicating the location of the stand; electricity within the
stand's limits, with exceptions as per the “Technical Regulation” and regulations of BolognaFiere; parking
space for two cars; free entry passes for Exhibitors and their staff proportionate to the size of the allocated
area; technical assistance during the erection and dismantling of the stand; general supervision of the pavilions
and general fire prevention; entry of name in the official catalogue and the right to a free copy of same.
The Exhibitor will be responsible for the cost of any other stand improvement or different services.
Article 7 - RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE, INSURANCE AND SURVEILLANCE[Up]
The Exhibitor will be responsible for any damage that, for any reason, may be caused by himself or his
staff (including damage incurred by the erection of the stand or any other optional fitting provided by him or
by third parties assigned by him), even if checked by BolognaFiere and he is obliged to accept the insurance
policies taken out by the Organizers:
a) All Risks cover (including fire and theft) for furnishings, furniture, equipment and goods in the
stand, not including cash, items of value, other valuables and similar - and apart from the software
installed on computers and excluding damages deriving from not using furnishings, decoration,
equipment or wares during the exhibition - Euro 40.000,00 full first loss cover (including fire and
theft) total franchise of Euro 300,00 for any damage, up to Euro 600,00 for damages after exhibition
closing;
b) Third Party Liability cover: single limit Euro 50.000.000,00, including fire damages;
c) Employees Liability cover: limit of Euro 3.000.000,00 per damage and of Euro 2.000.000,00 per person;
d) The insurance company gives up any recourse towards all the exhibitors, the organizer and
BolognaFiere.
The above-listed insurance policies are governed by the conditions and limitations which the Exhibitor may
request from the Exhibition organising office, and which will be printed on the form contained in the
Exhibitor’s Manual of the exhibition.
These insurance policies do not release the Exhibitor from liability in respect of all risks which, in the
Exhibitor’s opinion, are not covered as set out above; in this case he shall take out personally such supplementary
cover as he deems appropriate.
Apart from the existence of a video surveillance system, in case of theft the Exhibitor shall have to hand
over to the Insurance Company his complaint to Public Authorities within seven days from exhibition closing:
non-observance of this deadline might involve loss of refund right.
This topic is regulated in the Exhibitor’s manual and its contents have to be considered as totally acknowledged.
During opening time of the halls the Exhibitor shall have to watch over his stand directly or through
their staff. BolognaFiere maintains a 24-hr. surveillance service over the Exhibition area for the entire
duration of the exhibition, but they will not be responsible for any theft and/or damage. The exhibitor is
the only guardian of goods and furnishings in the stand during the whole exhibition period (including
set up and dismantling time). As such, they relieve substantially and legally BolognaFiere and the
Organizer from any loss, damage, responsibility or costs, including legal costs, deriving from stand use
or from the allocated exhibiting surface.
Article 8 - RESTRICTIONS[Up]
Article 8 - RESTRICTIONS
It is expressly forbidden for the Exhibitor to:
» open or close the stand on a different time from the official exhibition schedule. Non-respect could involve
the exclusion from the following exhibition
» sell any product upon risk of its immediate withdrawal from the stand
» display prices
» display products that are contrary to the commercial designation of the area, as indicated on the application
form
» display posters or samples, even if merely indicative, on behalf of companies not exhibiting in the stand,
the definition of assignee being the entity named on the application form
» promote offers or donations on behalf of recognised institutions, collect money, issue political, religious or
nationalistic propaganda inside the exhibition grounds or in any way, shape or form, carry out activities
not conducive with the aims of the event and contrary to its interests
» initiate or take part in publicity outside of the assigned area or carry out acts detrimental to or competitive
with the interests and the activity of the exhibition and/or of their initiatives
» introduce into the exhibition area any products that may be perilous, likely to cause damage or annoyance
» use loud-speakers or other sources of noise without authorization
» operate machineries of any kind
» project lights or light bands, even if intermittent, outside the stand
» to build stands exceeding max. permitted height
» any kind of unfair competition between exhibitors. The Exhibitor accepts to the exhibition purposes all initiatives
taken by the Secretary’s office for the immediate cease of unfair competition or to protect the other
exhibitors and themselves.
Any restrictions issued for safety reasons in relation to persons or articles, as well as for preventing the
tampering with fixed and mobile assets belonging to the Exhibition grounds and the regulations contained
in the “Technical Regulation” and in the Various Forms Booklet must be considered as part of the
“General Conditions”.
Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in the cancellation of the contract. by means of a written
instruction that will take effect immediately upon delivery and receipt by the Exhibitor with immediate stand
closing, withdrawal of passes to the fair and exclusion of deductions on the amount due.
Article 9 - OFFICIAL CATALOGUE[Up]
The Secretariat undertakes the responsibility following its own judgments and necessities to compile, to
publish and distribute the official catalogue wherein the enrolments received and accepted up to forty-five
days prior to the exhibition's opening are included. The Secretariat does not accept responsibility for errors
in the compilation of the application form or for typographical or printing errors.
The insertion of advertising in the official catalogue shall be decided by the Secretariat.
Article 10 - CONSTRUCTION OF STANDS[Up]
Stand areas will be put at the Exhibitor’s disposal 4 days prior to exhibition opening and decoration shall
have to be completed within the day before, under penalty of resolution of the contract for default, as per
art.4. Construction of stands must be contained within the available surface, as indicated in the “Technical
Regulations” and their height shall not have to exceed the height prescribed by our regulations.
It is forbidden to build intermediate floors without authorization of the Secretariat. Accessible platforms
over 0,80 m. are considered “out of standard”.
The erection and fitting-out must be made according to accident and fire prevention regulations.
BolognaFiere and the Secretariat may examine plant on stands, constructions, pavilions and erections
in the internal and external areas.
Access to the Bologna Fair Quarter is only possible upon registration at www.gate.bolognafiere.it.
Every exhibitor shall receive a password to enter the reserved registration area. This password is needed
to register stand builder companies and their staff and means entering the fair quarter. The
Exhibitor is responsible for technical and professional skills of the companies that will be present in
their name at the fair quarter.
The Exhibition grounds are considered to be a “public area”. Failure to forward to BolognaFiere declarations
and/or documents as contained in the “Technical Regulations” in respect to the liability for the
erection, electrical fittings will permit the said Authorities, in accordance with the agreement with the
Secretariat, to close down the stand.
BolognaFiere and the Secretariat reserve the right to order a change or to renew the stand whose fittings
do not comply with the aforementioned regulations. The responsibility for the erection, installation
of fittings and any damage caused thereto the Exhibition Authorities or to third parties will be charged
exclusively to the Exhibitor.
The Exhibitor is free to choose his own stand fitter and will be held responsible for his work: the
Exhibitor must supply the relevant details to the Secretariat. BolognaFiere and the Organizer can decide,
also to the purpose of work safety conditions, special access parameters during stand building and
to limit the access of transportation means and/or to charge costs in case they are parked outside the
spaces prescribed by the Organizer or at different times.
Article 11 - RETURN OF STANDS[Up]
The stand must be returned in the same condition in which it was assigned. The Exhibitor will be charged
for any damage caused thereto.
It is forbidden to remove samples before the official closure of the show. At the close, the Exhibitor shall remove
those products and materials installed by him on the stand and remove them from the exhibition
grounds. The Secretariat and BolognaFiere decline all responsibility for products, materials or anything left
without surveillance by the Exhibitor in the fair quarter.
The stands must be cleared within one day after the closing of the exhibition. The Exhibitor authorises
the Secretariat or his representative to check his vehicles, packages etc. upon departure from the
exhibition area to ascertain that no products or materials other than those installed on the stand are
found therein.
Should the stand not be cleared by the deadline, the Exhibitor gives his irrevocable consent to materials removal
and any remnants shall be treated as waste materials and the Exhibitor shall have to bear all direct
and indirect costs for clearing, beside a penalty of Euro 200,00 and to pay for further damages, if any.
Article 12 - SERVICES[Up]
Water and mains connections, electric light and operating power and compressed air connections to
mains, may only be undertaken by personnel authorised by the BolognaFiere.
a) Publicity outside of the assigned exhibition area:
All types of advertising and publicity must be executed through the Secretariat or the representative of
BolognaFiere and they are subject to payment of rental and relative taxes.
b) Porterage: for porterage, transportation, loading and unloading operations, in case the Exhibitor does
not employ their staff and means, they shall have to entrust exclusively the Official Forwarder of
BolognaFiere.
c) Temporary imports:
The Exhibitor who intends to take advantage of the temporary import law to introduce products of
foreign origin, to be displayed as samples, must make a formal application to the Secretariat returning
the special application form included with the Technical Regulations. The Secretariat will transfer
the obligation for completion of the formalities to the official forwarding agents of BolognaFiere
and shall charge the Exhibitor the cost thereof with no responsibility of the Forwarder also against
the Secretariat and BolognaFiere.
d) Telephones:
Telephone connections will only be undertaken by the supplier authorized by BolognaFiere.
e) Stand cleaning: the service will be carried out by the Exhibitor to their expenses or by the company
authorised by BolognaFiere.
f) Parking inside the exhibition area:
The Secretariat and BolognaFiere do not accept responsibility for custody, damages or theft for vehicles
and their contents parked inside the exhibition area. Exhibitors with special passes may park vehicles
only in the parking spaces and only during the exhibition opening time.
Article 13 - JURISDICTION[Up]
The Exhibitor elects his legal domicile to be that of the Organizer, and agrees to submit any litigation to the
competent Italian Court.
Article 14 - TERMS OF PAYMENT[Up]
Payment of participation fees (after deduction of the deposit) and any additional charges for any special
services must be made upon presentation of the invoice.
Article 15 - ACCEPTANCE OF GENERAL CONDITIONS AND
TECHNICAL REGULATIONS[Up]
By signing the application form, the Exhibitor accepts all general conditions and provisions that may be
adopted by the Secretariat, the Public Safety Authorities as well as those provisions related to fire and accident
prevention, surveillance of areas open to the public. For those conditions not expressly issued by the
Bologna trade fair organization will apply.
The Secretariat reserves the right to establish, or grant exceptions to the general conditions, when considered
necessary and these exceptions shall be deemed to be a valid part thereof.
The Secretariat reserves the right to expel any Exhibitor for any transgression. The Organizer has the discretionary
and unquestionable right to change the dates of the exhibition and the Exhibitor cannot withdraw
nor release themselves from the contract for this reason, nor free themselves from their commitment.
If requested, the Exhibitor must supply any documentation in order to decide on his participation in the
exhibition and to ascertain respect of the general conditions.
Any claims about the organization and/or realization of the exhibition shall have to be immediately notified
in writing to the Organizer and however not later than seven days after exhibition closing. Subsequent
claims cannot rise controversy with the Organizer.
The Exhibitor agrees that the Secretariat and BolognaFiere may treat their personal data indicated in the
application form.
